Cubika Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 September 2026
This policy explains what information Cubika collects, why it collects it, and the choices you have. It applies to the mobile game Cubika (application ID com.sntr.cubika), published on Google Play under the developer name GameTrip.
1. Who we are
GameTrip is the Google Play publisher name of Sinatr Information Technologies LLC ("we", "us"). For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK), Sinatr Information Technologies LLC is the data controller for the processing described in this policy.
You can reach us about any privacy matter at privacy@sinatr.com.
2. Summary
- Playing alone requires no account. Single-player progress, scores and settings stay on your device and are never sent to us.
- An account is created only if you open Online Tournament or Private Match. You sign in with Google Play Games, and we create a profile identified by an automatically generated nickname such as
Cuber#48213. - We never ask for your name, address, phone number or email inside the game, and we do not copy your Play Games profile name, photo or friends list.
- You can delete your online account and all of its data at any time from inside the game, or by emailing us.
- Cubika is free and funded by advertising provided by Google AdMob, and by one optional in-app purchase processed by Google Play.
3. Information stored on your device
The game stores your level progress, scores, solution credits and settings (language, sound, vibration) locally on your device. This information never leaves your device. Deleting the app or clearing its data removes it permanently. It is not part of your online account and is not affected if you delete that account.
4. Online Tournament and Private Match
These modes are optional. Nothing described in this section happens unless you open one of them and sign in.
4.1 Signing in
When you enter Online Tournament or Private Match, the game asks you to sign in with Google Play Games. Play Games returns a one-time authorisation code, which our server exchanges for an account identifier through Firebase Authentication. We receive and store only that identifier — a random string that is meaningless outside our system. We do not receive or store your Google account email address, your real name, your Play Games gamertag, your profile photo or your friends list.
4.2 What we store about you
On our servers we keep, linked to that identifier:
- An automatically generated nickname in the form
Cuber#48213. You do not choose it, and it is the only thing other players see. We generate it precisely so that players are not identifiable to one another. - Your points, rank, and the number of matches played, won and lost.
- Match records: which cube was used, the scramble, the sequence of moves each player made, how long the solve took, and who won. Move sequences are kept because the server re-plays them to verify that a reported solve is genuine — this is what keeps the competition fair.
- A temporary online/offline flag while you are searching for or playing a match, so that your opponent is not left waiting if you disconnect.
- For Private Match, the temporary six-digit PIN of a lobby you create, which is removed when the match ends or the lobby expires.
- If you leave opponent alerts switched on, a notification token issued by Google for this installation of the game. It lets us tell you when another player is looking for an opponent. It is not an advertising identifier and cannot be used to track you across apps.
We do not collect your location, your contacts, your device's files, or any content you did not create inside the game.
4.3 Why, and on what legal basis
This information exists only to run the competitive modes: to match you with an opponent of similar rank, to keep the leaderboard, and to verify results. Under the GDPR we rely on performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)) — you asked to play against other people, and this is what makes that possible — and on our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) in keeping the competition fair for everyone.
4.4 Where it is processed
The online modes run on Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Realtime Database and Cloud Functions), acting as our processor. Our server functions and databases are hosted in the europe-west1 region (Belgium). All traffic between the game and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS).
5. Deleting your online account and data
You can delete your online account and everything listed in section 4.2 at any time.
Inside the game: open Settings and tap Delete account. After you confirm, your profile, nickname reservation, points, rank, match history, lobby and connection records, your notification token, and your authentication record are permanently deleted from our servers. The deletion happens immediately — there is no waiting period, and nothing is kept in a recoverable form. Your single-player progress on the device is not touched.
By email: if you have uninstalled the game or cannot sign in, write to privacy@sinatr.com and tell us your in-game nickname (the Cuber#… number shown on the Online Tournament screen and on the leaderboard). We will delete the account and confirm to you, normally within 7 days and in any case within 30 days. If you no longer know your nickname, we will ask for whatever details you still have so that we can locate the right account; we will not delete an account unless we are reasonably satisfied that it is yours.
Deleting your account does not delete anything Google holds about your Google or Play Games account. You can manage that through your Google Account.
6. Advertising (Google AdMob)
Cubika shows two kinds of advertisement, both supplied by Google AdMob:
- Rewarded ads in single player — you choose to watch one in exchange for an in-game solution. Nothing is shown unless you ask for it.
- Interstitial ads in Online Tournament — shown after a match result, at most once every few matches and never less than five minutes apart. No advertisement is ever shown before or during a match.
To deliver and measure ads, AdMob may collect and share with Google's advertising partners:
- Device or other identifiers, including the Android advertising ID;
- Approximate location (country/region level, derived from your IP address);
- App interaction data related to advertising (for example, that an ad was shown or completed);
- Diagnostic information about app performance.
This data is used for advertising and ad measurement; diagnostics are used for analytics. It is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. What Google does with the information it receives is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and described at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Your choices:
- In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Cubika shows a consent form (Google User Messaging Platform) before any advertising data is processed. You can change your choice at any time from Settings › Privacy Options inside the game.
- On any Android device you can delete or reset the advertising ID under Settings › Google › Ads, which prevents its use for advertising.
7. Opponent alerts
When another player of your rank is looking for an opponent, we can send you a notification so that you can join them. Nothing is sent while you are already in the game, and never more than one alert per hour. The message itself contains only the other player’s generated nickname.
You can turn this off at any time in Settings › Opponent alerts; the notification token is then deleted from our servers. On Android 13 and later, Android also asks for your permission before the first notification, and you can revoke it in the system settings.
8. Analytics
Cubika includes Google Analytics for Firebase, which records aggregated, non-identifying information about how the game is used — for example how often screens are opened, crashes, and rough device and country information — so that we can find problems and improve the game. It uses a resettable app instance identifier and is not linked to your online account. You can reset that identifier by clearing the app's data or reinstalling the game.
9. In-app purchases
Cubika offers one optional in-app product ("10 Solutions"). The payment is processed entirely by Google Play under Google's own terms and privacy policy. We never see or receive your payment card details, billing address or Google account credentials. The game only receives confirmation that the purchase was completed so that it can grant the solution credits, which are stored on your device.
10. Children
Cubika is not directed to children under 13. The target audience declared on Google Play is ages 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information through the game, contact us at privacy@sinatr.com and we will delete the account promptly.
11. How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising beyond the AdMob processing described in section 6.
Your nickname, rank and points are visible to other players — on the leaderboard, and to the opponent you are matched with. That is the purpose of a competitive mode, and it is why the nickname is generated rather than chosen: nothing shown to other players identifies you.
The only third party that receives data from Cubika is Google, through Firebase, Play Games, AdMob and Play billing as described above, and only to the extent needed for those services to work. We will also disclose information where we are legally required to do so, for example in response to a valid legal request.
12. International transfers
We are established in Türkiye. Our online game servers and databases are located in the European Economic Area (Belgium). Google may process the information described above on servers in other countries, including the United States. Transfers out of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom rely on the safeguards implemented by Google, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
13. How long information is kept
- Data stored on your device remains there until you delete the game or clear its data.
- Your online account and match records are kept for as long as the account exists, and are deleted immediately when you delete it (section 5).
- Temporary records — online status, matchmaking queue entries and Private Match lobbies — are short-lived and expire on their own, typically within minutes.
- Information held by Google is retained according to Google's own retention schedules.
14. Security
All traffic between the game and our servers is encrypted. Your account data can only be written by our server code: the game on your device is not permitted to change points, ranks or results, and every reported result is verified on the server before it counts. Our databases are configured so that a player can read only their own matches and the public leaderboard. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
15. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict its processing, to withdraw consent, to receive your data in a portable format, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Residents of Türkiye have equivalent rights under Article 11 of the KVKK, including the right to apply to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority.
To exercise any of these rights, write to privacy@sinatr.com and tell us your in-game nickname so that we can find the right account. Deletion is also available directly in the game (section 5). If you have never used the online modes, we hold no data about you at all and there is nothing for us to look up; in that case we will tell you so, and point you to the device-level controls described in section 6.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the game or in the law. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected in the game's store listing.
